GETTING STARTED
Our club is run almost exclusively by volunteers. We absolutely cannot do this work and serve our young athletes without the time and effort of the adults in our community. Please see below for opportunities needed in the fall and spring seasons, and if you don't see something listed just send us a message or fill
out the volunteer form at the bottom of this page!
Team-Level Volunteer Roles

Coach
This is one of the most invested volunteers that we hope to have each season. You will typically lead two days of practice each week for the entire season as well as coach the team during friendly matches and competitive tournaments. You will be led by our full-time director of coaching at all times. This is a great role for you if you have experience playing soccer at the competitive level and and enjoy mentoring young athletes.
Team Manager
Team managers are our behind the scenes experts. They handle communication regarding practices and matches, help with logistics regarding travel, and act as a general liaison between parents and coaches and the board. This is a great role for a parent who wants to help but doesn't necessarily have the soccer experience or schedule to coach.
Assistant Coach
(current U18 players only)
This is an opportunity for our older players to give back to their club doing something that they love while developing invaluable leadership skills and increasing their own soccer IQ through the mentorship of older coaches. We also know that many of our high school students want to earn community service hours as they prepare for the college application process. The KORAM board is happy to provide proof of service and recommendation letters reflecting their service.

KATUSA Volunteer
One of the club's unique needs is for Korean|English translation. We often look to our KATUSA community that has soccer experience and an interest in working with young athletes to fill this need. This role also helps the club build a multicultural experience, and players often see their KATUSA coaches as big brothers. In the past, the club president has been able to provide letters of recommendation to those KATUSA volunteers preparing to move on and (re)enter the workforce.
Committee Chair
This is an opportunity to support the club on a one-time basis or for a few hours a month over the course of the season or year. Examples include equipment manager and outreach coordinator. However, we often need someone to lead a fundraising event or plan our end-of-season banquet. These roles are not officially part of the board, but do work closely with the board and impact club decisions. If you can't make the commitment to coach or be a team manager but want to help, being a committee chair could be a great fit!
Board Member
Our club leadership is simply referred to as "the board" and this group consists of the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and registrar. The term for each role is one year, which covers two seasons. The only two positions voted on by the general membership are the president and vice-president. If you are interested in leading KORAM FC into the next phase, please reach out!
